A Level

This is a new course for September 2018. We're following OCR A Level Computer Science.

Broadly, it encompasses 3 Units of work. Overall assessment is carried out with these mark weightings.

• Unit 1 - Computer Systems - Specification
• Unit 2 - Algorithms and Problem Solving - Specification
• Unit 3 - Programming Project - Mark scheme

Units 1 and 2 will be delivered in Year 1. Year 2 will see the completion of Units 1 & 2, then deliver Unit 3.

Homework will feature heavily in this subject, contributing towards students' progress and tracking.

There will be regular summative assessments as well as more formal end of unit exams.

We expect a similar amount of out-of-lesson time allocated as in lesson time.
