Contingency dates are dates given by the exam board as a backup in case there is national or significant local disruption which affects exams being able to be run. The contingency dates allow an opportunity in this case for students to not be adversely affected. Please do not book holidays or trips on the contingency dates.
Application for your son or Daughter to be entered for a GCSE or A Level in their home language, for the Summer 2026 exam series, is now open.
Speaking exams (for GCSEs) will take place between 16th April - 21st May 2026. For the speaking component you will need to provide the contact details of a speaking examiner. this person cannot be a family member. The school will contact the speaking examiner you have provided to arrange a date and time. Payment for the speaking examiner, is organised between yourself and the examiner not the school.
As this is an additional language, and not part of the school curriculum, there is a fee of £150, for GCSE. Which will need to be paid via Arbor under school shop.

The examiner must be qualified and able to conduct the speaking exam in line with the exam board's requirements.
