Reading and writing are crucial for success in school and beyond. The more practice the better!

Below, we posted some sites we use in school for literacy that you may access anywhere. Audiobooks can be a wonderful resource.

Esperanza Rising

Story Elements

Plot Mountain: This fun music video reviews the plot elements that are found in stories.

Setting Flocabulary: This rap music video tells how important setting is in a story

Comprehension Skills

Trick or Trait: Find the ghost with the correct word in one of the spooky character traits games

Character Traits Memory Match: Match the character picture cards. You can adjust the number of cards to make it easier or harder.

Play many fun games to practice inferring character traits, including Snowball Fight, Tower Blocks, Free Kicks Soccer, Heroic Ants, Flappy Bird, and Wild Wild Taxi Racing. When you run out of questions, try these ones instead:
