In Social Studies this year, we will...

• study and write about state symbols
• learn about different regions
• learn the origin of the United States
• describe different Constitutional Rights

In Science this year, we will...

• understand the steps in the scientific method
• design investigations of our own
• use materials found at home to design an investigation
• partner with the Harris Center to investigate mammals together
• describe different animal adaptations
• be amazed by the science around us
• read and take notes on Science articles

In Leadership and Social Emotional Learning, we will...

• work to help our school and wider community
• learn with our 1st grade buddies on Fridays
• practice being informed citizens
• act as the leaders of the school
• speak clearly with confidence to an audience
• demonstrate active listening
• show teamwork and conflict resolution skills
