When we talk about accessibility, we are really concerned with making sure all of our students can use the materials we give them. We don't always know who our students are going to be since we could get new students at any time of the year.
So the easiest thing is to think about any possible obstacles to using our materials and removing them from the get-go.
Text size and contrast
Visual clutter
Unclear organization
Unclear language
Relying on text within images (these can't be read by screen readers.)
Technology know-how
Access to technology and Internet
For some, the journey itself is difficult enough.
Creating accessible materials lightens the load and helps us help them.
