Ensembles

Chorale (Varsity Mixed): The Varsity mixed choir of McC is a composite group of members in Chamber and Highlander. They focus on being an ensemble, singing SATB music, and continuing the growth as musicians by singing music in all genres. Chorale has been an invited choir at TMEA and ACDA conventions several times over the years. *** This ensemble is a composite group and does not meet as a formal class period. Chorale meets during advisory and after school***

Chamber Singers (Varsity Treble):  Chamber is one of the premiere ensembles at McC. This treble choir strives to grow the young women of this ensemble as leaders and musicians by focusing on musicality and tonal quality. Chamber has most recently represented Conroe ISD at the 2024 TMEA convention and the 2025 National ACDA convention. 

Highlander Men (Varsity Tenor Bass):  Highlander Men are at the very pinnacle of the Junior Tenor Bass experience. In Highlander, the singers are striving for growth as musicians and human beings. They are striving for this by singing in all genres of music (classical, sea shanty, world music, barbershop, etc).

Advanced 7 (7th grade Non Varsity): This auditioned Treble Choir at McC will focus on advanced musicianship skills, and building an upper level ensemble atmosphere.

Advanced 8 (8th grade Non Varsity Treble): This auditioned Treble Choir at McC will focus on advanced musicianship skills, and building an upper level ensemble atmosphere and continue the preparation for high school choral singing. 

Celtic Boys (Non Varsity Tenor Bass): Tis auditioned Tenor/Bass Choir at McC will focus on advanced musicianship skills, and building an upper level ensemble atmosphere. 

Concert Choir (7th grade Sub Non Varsity): This beginning Treble Choir at McC will focus on developing musicianship skills, and building a cohesive ensemble atmosphere. This is one of two beginning treble ensembles.

Treble (7th grade Sub Non Varsity): This beginning Treble Choir at McC will focus on developing musicianship skills, and building a cohesive ensemble atmosphere. This is one of two beginning treble ensembles.

Tartan Singers (7th grade Sub Non Varsity): This beginning Tenor Bass Choir at McC will focus on developing musicianship skills, and building a cohesive ensemble atmosphere. This is the beginning of the journey for these young tenor bass singers
