We will NOT be hosting Speech and Debate events this year. We are hoping to host them again next year!
If your academic contestants wish to cross-enter in events, please pay careful attention to the schedule to avoid time conflicts. We will not delay the start of academic contests for the sake of missing students!
Ready Writing (8a.m.) - Will take place in a computer lab in our library. We will have guest logins, guest wifi, computer access, and printer access. Maximum 60 entries.

Journalism Events - Will all take place in a computer lab in our library. We will have guest logins, guest wifi, computer access, and printer access. Students should bring their own dictionaries and AP Style Books. Maximum 60 entries.
Copy Editing (10:30a.m.), News Writing (11a.m.), Feature Writing (12p.m.), Editorial Writing (1:30p.m.), Headline Writing (2:30p.m.)
Spelling & Vocabulary (11a.m.) - Will take place in the SGI (on the 3rd floor). We will be trying out the online test this year! We will provide Chromebooks and some headphones, but students are encouraged to bring their own laptops and headphones.

Social Studies (1:30p.m.) - If there are not an adequate number of coaches available to read the finalist essays we will waive the UIL rule prohibiting a coach of an advancing student to partake in the reading. We trust that all coaches will maintain academic integrity through this process.
Computer Science Written (1:30p.m.) & Computer Science Programming (3:30p.m.) - Both will take place in the LGI (next to the cafeteria) -
No limit for written portion, Teams will be capped at 35. If you have more than three teams and we are at our max and another school enters with a team one of yours will be bumped to allow for the maximum school participation.

We will announce results throughout the day. Please make certain a representative from your school is present until results from ALL of your students’ events have been announced. Tests will be released after scores have been officially tabulated for sweepstakes. All blank copies of test and keys will be made available in the google drive folder after the event.
