Hello, my name is Kozi Colberg, and I am a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in healthcare. I began my career providing direct patient care in hospital settings, with a focus on medical-surgical, emergency, detox, and mental health nursing. Over time, I transitioned into leadership and outpatient roles, where I found my calling in addiction medicine.
My journey into this field was fueled by a deep desire to reduce stigma and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals affected by addiction. That commitment led me to pursue certification in addiction medicine. For the past decade, I’ve served as a nursing director, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative treatment protocols for both outpatient and residential substance use disorder programs.
At home, I’m blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart. Together, we enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren. With God’s grace and the unwavering support of loved ones, I am also a breast cancer survivor. I cherish the simple joys in life—walking my golden retriever, gardening, and taking my motorcycle out for a ride whenever the skies are clear.
My years of experience have taught me to meet every person in crisis with empathy, dignity, and understanding. I’m honored to be part of the CONQUER team, where I can use my knowledge and compassion to support individuals and their families on their path to healing.
