TEACHER
"I am honored to have been selected."
Story by: Tamijah Mitchell
Ms. Chelsea Arnett is English Lit ll teacher at Confluence Preparatory Academy, the eSports coach, and this year’s Teacher of the Year! Ms. Arnett explained to me that she uses her online tools to enhance lessons and connect with students. She also stated that her background experience with digital tools allows her to use those tools to help everyone succeed in the classroom and helps other teachers use those tools to help their students. CPA student, Darrell Mitchell, says, “Ms. Arnett is a great teacher and her approach to thinking about others is amazing. For instance, more students prefer to learn in a soothing environment so she dims the lights because it feels safe and comfortable for students.” Many of her past and present students agree with that. Ms. Frankenberg and Mrs. Luker both explained how some of Ms. Arnett’s teaching methods make a big difference and help a lot with online learning. Ms. Arnett says she feels very honored to have been selected among a great staff at CPA.
