The objective of the Model United Nations is to seek, through discussion and debate, solutions to the various problems of the world. The International Relations Model United Nations (IRMUN 2023) is a two-day national level event that will be held at the Central Campus of Christ University, Bangalore. IRMUN is a debating platform which will follow the guidelines of the United Nations. IRMUN offers students an excellent opportunity to expand, develop and put into practice their lobbying, negotiating and debating skills.
As our theme 'Diplomacy in an Era of Non-traditional Security Threats' suggests, we aim to instill the ability among the students to come to a consensus and formulate solutions for world peace and co-operation, aiming at an advancement of the global future. At this conference, young leaders are encouraged to come up with solutions for varied problems affecting countries across the globe. This is a platform where students from across the nation and the world can hone and test their skills of diplomacy, problem-solving, debating, public speaking, writing and team building as well as gain the ability to scrutinize and analyze seemingly complex concepts to acknowledge and understand the multifaceted nature of problems, and most importantly, to actively listen to friends and foes alike.
IRMUN 2023 aims at nurturing young minds to pursue diplomacy over war and conflict and to enable them to create a prosperous future. It is the need of the hour to solve issues around the world through the art of diplomacy, to enhance peaceful coexistence and to integrate nations for a better tomorrow. The crucial act of striking a balance between the fruits and perils of development is the requirement for the world.

Chair - IR MUN 2020 & 2021
"IRMUN mun was one of the most well organized online MUN I attended in this pandemic era. The hard work and dedication to the team can be seen in the way they carried out each and every aspect of the conference with utmost care. The Tech team was really supportive and made everything smooth. The event was conducted in a systematic manner and it's down to the team that has put in a lot of hard work into it. Also my committee DISEC had a really good debate and active participation even though there were many first-timers. There's widespread talk that online MUNs are hindering the quality of MUN and providing the first-timers with a wrong impression of what a MUN is. But IRMUN was one of the few that showed even online MUNs can provide a good experience to the delegates. It was a pleasure working with the team and I wish all the very best for the future editions of IRMUN".
Chair - IR MUN 2021
"There are very few conferences that etch everlasting memories and IRMUN has been one such event for me. The visages, memories, and learning that this platform has given me to cherish are unique and unforgettable. Christ has always been home for me and its organisation of events has always left me speechless. I have enjoyed every second, be it virtually, with IRMUN. Cannot wait for the next edition to be hosted soon".
Chair - IR MUN 2021
"I had a wonderful time at IRMUN. It is always a joy to chair committees where the Organising committee makes it their mission to ensure that the delegates get the maximum of the experience up for offer. This makes the job of the Chairpersons that much easier because an environment conducive to learning is exactly what it takes to bring out the future MUN-ers from otherwise curious first-timers".
Chair - IR MUN 2021
"I was honoured to be one of the chairs on board for IRMUN. Not only was it wonderfully planned and executed but it was also quite engaging. The team was so enthusiastic and it was very smoothly organized. The OC was quite well versed and made the chairing experience pretty memorable. Despite being a relatively new MUN team, they were very professional in their endeavours and managed to pull it off amazingly".
