Introduction

Vietnam has many people with cancer. There’s a charity that helps them. It’s called SympaMeals. They help people with cancer and diseases. Almost every Vietnamese person dies from cancer. This is why SympaMeals are going to their home to bring patients to the hospital. If you want to know more about SympaMeals, then you should read my opinion for more knowledge about SympaMeals!

What is SympaMeals?

SympaMeals is one of the charities supporting poor patients. They can also be called “Dong Cam,” which means together in Vietnamese. They are located in Hanoi, Vietnam. SympaMeals have helped a lot of cancer patients in difficult situations. They help poor patients with heart conditions, HIV, and cancer. SympaMeals do this so people can feel well and healthy to reduce the amount of life shortage.

Who is Involved?

In 2005, SympaMeals had only 2 members. And now, it has 6 members. SympaMeals has Hop Dang and Anh Phan as the founders. Thuy Le as the controller. Ha Do as a consultant, and 2 paid staff. There’s many donors, too. We have Concordia, Temasek, Executive Committee, and other people that donate money. Maybe you can be one of the donors. Concordia started helping in 2016 under the direction of Mr. Mills, a fifth grade teacher. In their first year of support, Concordia ran a Movember project and a Bake Sale. They raised 96,000,000VND. The 2020 project is underway and Movember will run from November 6-27 and wrap up with a bake sale on November 13.

How can you help?

SympaMeals helps people with cancer, and you can help SympaMeals. In Concordia, we help by running the Bake Sale and Movember. The teacher will gain money and donate to SympaMeals. The money increases each following year. I said that there’s more companies that donate to SympaMeals so not only Concordia is participating. Other people can donate to SympaMeals by giving the money to the fund transfer, and meet with the founders. You can make a difference, too.
