Born in Monterrey, México, Malukah found a way to combine her love of music and video games almost by accident. In 2011, she made a YouTube video singing an acoustic cover of “The Dragonborn Comes” from the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The video went viral and the attention it garnered led Malukah to opportunities beyond her wildest dreams.
Zenimax Online Studios hired Malukah to create a song for Elder Scrolls Online called “Beauty of Dawn”. The overwhelmingly positive response to this song led ZoS to hire Malukah again to compose music for 10 in-game bard songs. You can hear her voice performing these songs via bards all over Tamriel in ESO.
The viral video also reconnected Malukah with a college friend, Kevin Sherwood, who invited her to sing on several of his songs for the Call of Duty: Black Ops series. She has also performed on the games Banner Saga, Moss, Far Cry Primal, tv series Stranger Things, and more.
Malukah continues to make video game covers as well as writing original music. She has released two original albums, All of the Above and I Follow the Moon.
