Welcome to Concord-Carlisle Community Connections!
Concord-Carlisle Community Connections is a mentoring program designed to introduce CCHS sophomores, juniors, and seniors to the business and professional world outside of the classroom. Based on your preferences when you apply, we will assign you to an individual mentor, who will introduce you to some basic interpersonal, business, and professional practices that will be valuable to you as you transition toward the next phase of your education and your career life and goals. You may also learn about some of the challenges and adversities that your mentor faced in his or her professional life.
You don’t need to have a specific career interest in mind to participate in the program, and you need not be at the top of your class. You only need a willingness to learn about some of the personal characteristics and skills that have helped others to succeed in life and work. All students are welcome to apply. Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn 1.25 credits.
Program requirements: You need to commit to 8-10 hours (roughly 4 or 5, 1½- to 2-hour sessions) with your mentor. These meetings will take place either at the mentor’s place of business or at another location to be determined by mentors who are retired. They will generally be scheduled during the week, after school, unless you and your mentor make different arrangements.
Please browse our website and review the Program Guidelines for Students and Suggested Discussion Questions. Our aim is to guide you and your mentors to have a rewarding, enriching and interesting learning experience!
If you have any questions or would like to sign up for the program, please contact the Faculty Coordinator, Mr. Wells (swells@concordcarlisle.org).
