How will attendance be reported during the school year?

During the school year, students who do not have the seat-time waiver are required to report to the MOVE UP Academy on time. Students will be given and additional 4 minutes to walk from Concord High School to the MOVE UP Academy at Concord Intermediate School. There is a separate entrance for MOVE UP students. Students will be exit Door 1 from Concord High School and then show their ID to enter the secure entrance. Upon check-in at MOVE UP, the secretary will directly record student attendance. Students who are late or missing during their scheduled period of the day will be counted tardy or truant and will receive consequences as outlined in the CHS student handbook. At the end of the period, students will exit the MOVE UP Academy and check in through the secure entrance when arriving at Door 1 of CHS. Students will be released from the MOVE UP Academy to provide for 4 additional minutes to return to CHS, check in, and arrive to class on time.

Students eligible for the seat-time waiver during the school year are exempt from daily attendance during their scheduled online course. Instead, students must demonstrate academic accountability by logging in at least three times each week and submitting quality work consistently on time. Failure to maintain an 80% or higher will result in loss of the seat-time waiver.
