Are online courses easier than traditional face-to-face courses?

Online courses have the same academic rigor of traditional courses. Some students may find online courses more difficult because they are learning in a way that they may be unfamiliar with, while others may find it easier because they can work at their own pace. An online course will take the same amount of time to complete as a traditional course would.
