Compton Unified ESPORTS
Our Vision
To provide equitable access to Compton Unified School District scholars to help meet their social-emotional needs and build communities through organized play. Esports is intertwined with game-based learning which helps students build 21st-century skills, and prepare them for college and/or career. Leveraging esports as a vehicle to bring awareness to STEAM fields and industries to our scholars is what fuels our growth and commitment to esports.
Our Mission
To expand our esports offering throughout Compton Unified Schools and programs. In order to do so, CUEL will build strategic partnerships to enhance and support the growth of our esports offerings, join the CIF Esports Program, and grow our inter and regional district tournaments.

The Coder Z League is a nationwide competition that lasted from September to late October. Students had to work in teams to solve coding missions and advance to the preliminary round. Once they reached the preliminary round, Dickison Elementary School competed against 38 schools across the nation in grades 4th-6th and came in 7th place. We are so proud of our amazing scholars! 👏
