Valor Esports is a structured esports training platform that empowers schools to build meaningful, skill-based programs without requiring teachers to be expert gamers. Valor focuses on helping young people grow through teamwork, goal setting, and reflection — using structured drills, leadership rotations, and positive culture-building practices rather than unstructured “free play.”

Valor provides session structures that help coaches run consistent, meaningful practices:
Warm-up & Drills (10 min): Students explore technical skills without pressure.
Challenge Phase (5–10 min): Players are paired using the Buddy System to record performance and feedback.

Weekly Rhythm: Maintain visible training plans, start/finish routines, and a goal wall in the classroom to build continuity.
Valor Esports - Building Positi…
To ensure honest, accurate skill tracking and privacy compliance, students are paired in two-person teams:
Player 1 performs the drill.
Player 2 acts as referee, ensuring proper execution and recording results.
Players switch roles after each attempt.
This promotes accountability, teamwork, and early-stage coaching skills while keeping students engaged and responsible for their progress.

Valor emphasizes that culture is built through consistency. Coaches guide—not carry—students toward growth by:
Using structure and routines to shape behavior.
Reinforcing a shared team vision and mission to connect gameplay with purpose.
Encouraging reflection, leadership rotation, and student voice to strengthen buy-in.
Celebrating effort, sportsmanship, and progress as much as competition.
Valor Esports - Building Positi…
Valor Esports equips coaches with tools to manage training confidently, even without gaming expertise.
By combining structured sessions, the Buddy System, and a strong culture of consistency, reflection, and care, Compton Unified’s esports coaches can transform gameplay into growth — helping students learn teamwork, accountability, and perseverance both on and off the digital field.
