C.H.A.T. hosts a wellbeing talk every other month, on topics ranging from practical self-care and nutrition to nature connection, therapies, healing traditions and more.
Our talks are friendly, accessible and suitable for adults of all backgrounds. You are welcome to join:
In person at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall
Online via Zoom
Or by watching the recording (included with all pre-booked ticket types)
Our first meeting of 2026 welcomes our long term speaker Neil Ward. He will be sharing his research on the quality of our water supply and the toxins it contains and we will have some additional information on ways we can all make our tap water healthier.
For those in the hall we will have some ‘clean’ water for tasting. For those joining us via Zoom they might like to do something similar at home.
In our March meeting, we welcome Plant Forage Guide and Nutritionist Julie Hancox, who will be sharing some great information on Plant Foraging for Spring.
The talk offers a practical introduction to plant foraging in the UK. We’ll explore some of the edible and useful wild plants that are commonly found at this time of year, with a focus on safe identification, ethical harvesting, and simple ways to use what you find, as well as where not to forage.
This talk is especially suitable for beginners or anyone interested in getting to know the plants growing just beyond their doorstep. In the Hall there will be a chance to taste a wild plant tea.
