My name is Stephanie Ruvalcaba and I am a social studies teacher at Hill Country College Preparatory High School. I joined the Falcon family as a long-term substitute in the Spring 2024 semester and fell in love with the campus and the students. I was lucky to be recruited to HCCPHS the following year and completed my first year of teaching in the 2024-2025 academic year.I love being part of the Falcon family and strive to make sure all of my students feel like my classroom is a space place to learn, make mistakes, and grow.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in the Japanese language, as well as the Master of Arts in History from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). I also earned my teaching certificate from the University of Texas, San Antonio (UTSA). Go Titans and Roadrunners!
I am currently the sponsor of Model United Nations (MUN), which launched in the 2024-2025 academic year. My students and I hope to eventually compete and truly make HCCPHS' MUN a force to be reckoned with. My U.S. History kids knocked the End-of-Course (EOC) exam out of the park last year and I hope to continue this trend.
I am also a dog mom of two golden retrievers.
