The CA Makerspaces are flexible spaces open to the entire school community and have become popular places for students to create, collaborate and innovate.
Faculty and students have access to heaver machines including 3D printers, CNC carvers, a laser cutter, sewing machines and a wood working tools. Material include wood, cardboard, pvc, foam, art supples and electronics. Whether a creating a costume for a play or coding a robot, the makerspace provides the flexibility and resources for students.
Students in 5th - 8th grade come to the spaces for formal design classes while students across all three division use the space for class projects, advisory challenges, service projects and clubs.
Pop-up Makerspaces show up around the school to engage students who might not otherwise find their way to one of CA's formal Makerspaces.
