College and Career Promise
(CCP)  

Southeastern Community College offers a variety of college level courses that typically are not available in regular individual schools. Traditional high school students must register for courses at their high school AND at Southeastern Community College  through the  Career and College Promise Program and must meet the guidelines listed below.

Traditional high school students can take Career and College Promise courses according to the following three categories: 

SCC College Transfer Pathway

A College Transfer Pathway leading to a minimum of 30 hours of college transfer credit. Includes courses that are identified as Comprehensive Articulation Agreement courses that are approved for transfer to the 16 universities of The University of North Carolina System. Students should always check with the transferring institution to learn how specific courses may transfer.

SCC Career Technical Education Pathway 

A Career and Technical Education Pathway leading to a certificate, diploma or degree; Includes career and technical education courses that prepare students for entry-level jobs in paraprofessional fields. Some of these courses may be used as CTE completer courses and high school students can begin earning college credit towards a BCC technical degree, diploma and/or certificate while in high school.

SCC Workforce Continuing Education Pathway

A Workforce Continuing Education pathway leading to a certificate, diploma or State or industry-recognized credential. Includes career and technical education courses that prepare students to earn a certificate, diploma or State or industry-recognized credential.
