Bio

Can you guess which school I attended in Middle School? I will give you some hints, it is in the town in which I live. The mascot for our football team at the time was Red Devils.

That's right! I went to Tabor City Middle School during my middle school years. I went on to South Columbus High School and eventually to college. I attended Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, N.C. I earned an Associates in Arts Degree there at SCC and transferred to University of North Carolina at Pembroke where I initially wanted to major in Sports Medicine to become a Physical Therapist. I also participated in the UNC Pembroke's inaugural football season. During that season there were no games, just long grueling practices. I decided to give up football and focus on other aspects of my life. I changed my focus to history because it is something that I love. I majored in history at UNCP and earned my Bachelors of Arts in History degree. I began working as a lateral entry teacher at Nakina Middle School teacher in 2006 and completed my postgraduate education courses through the University of Phoenix to receive my education licensure. I have worked at Nakina Middle School, Hallsboro Middle School, East Columbus Jr./Sr. High School, and now I am here at Tabor City Middle School. I am excited about what we can accomplish here in my hometown of Tabor City.
