ToyTheater

Toy Theater is chock full of interactive online art, reading and math games for kids. Designed with the needs of Kindergarten through third grade.

FunBrain

Funbrain is a vibrant and intuitive website full of rich learning content for grades K-8. While it doesn’t cover a wide range of subjects, the basics are represented well. What it lacks for subject range it makes up for in grade range and original content. Funbrain offers interactive flash cards, a newsletter and links to teacher resources.

Interactive Sites for Education

If you’re looking for one-stop shopping, this is the site. With interactive options that encompass the core curriculum and more, this website is an invaluable resource for K-5 teachers. From multiplication problems to quick brain teasers that jump start the cognitive process, you’ll find it all here. The site even has games in Spanish.

Scholastic

The site has daily starters, which are prompts to start students off on the creative track while taking some of the pressure off of educators. The Storia service on the site provides unlimited access to e-books, an essential part of interactive learning. The site also dedicates an entire page of resources to interactive whiteboard use, another staple of interactive learning.

CNN 10

CNN 10 is an on-demand digital news show ideal for explanation seekers on the go or in the classroom. Each video is no more than 10 minutes long. Perfect for grades 6-12.

National Archives

An independent agency of the United States government charged with the preservation and documentation of government and historical records. It is also tasked with increasing public access to those documents which make up the National Archive.

Google Arts & Culture

An online platform through which the public can access high-resolution images of artworks housed in the initiative's partner museums.

CommonLit

A collection of fiction and nonfiction texts for 3rd-12th grade students. There are various ways to search for resources, including: lexile level, grade, theme, genre, literary device, or standard. They have read aloud, translations, and hi-lighting tools to their texts that make them even more accessible for our students. You can also download texts into PDFs and share with students.
