Ed Tech is the purposeful integration of technology into learning ALL environments. We urge you to use your predesignated curriculum to make a student-centered learning environment, not technology-centered. It is not about tech itself, it is about using technology whenever possible to enhance learning and drive academic growth. You are not alone in this journey because teaching is a collaborative sport and we are here to support you. Mission

Design, uphold and provide coaching to district stakeholders for effective technology-enhanced learning practices that promote active, collaborative, and authentic learning for students to develop foundational skills and knowledge for the 21^st century workplace.

Vision

Students, families, and educators will use communication and information technologies to enhance and expand the traditional role of education in the Colville community. We believe the basic goal of education has not changed, that is to prepare ALL students for life-long learning and success in a change society. However, the tools and instructional methods to achieve these goals have advanced dramatically. Continued advancements in technology offers tremendous opportunities to students and educators as a way to enhance the academic environment. The COLSD Ed Tech Department has the responsibility for applying instructional methods enriched with technology and in ensuring that our students and teachers are proficient users of these new technologies. This technology integration initiative will outline our strategies for turning this vision into reality.
