I was born and raised in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. It was in the Lane Tech Mathlympians that my interest in mathematics began. I earned my bachelor's at the University of Illinois Champaign and am now a mathematics PhD candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Here, I am under the advisement of Peter Mayr. See Research to see the type of math I am interested in.
My father started teaching grade school when I was ten years old. His passion inspired me to share my love of mathematics with others. I am lucky because CU Boulder allowed me to do this while I pursue my graduate education. To learn more about my teaching philosophy and see what I have taught at CU, see Teaching.
