Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Miami University and a Research Affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA).

Research Interests

My research interests are in Health, Labor, and Public Economics.  Specifically, I use quasi-experimental methods to investigate the first and second-order impacts which occur when individuals change their behavior in response to policy shifts.  This includes the effect of salary transparency on worker and firm performance, the health impacts of sugar-sweetened beverages taxes, and the effect of expanding access to long-acting reversible contraceptives on infant health outcomes and female human capital accumulation.
