Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Miami University, a Research Affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and the Social Impact Lab, and a Faculty Affiliate at the Colorado Fertility Project. I am an applied microeconomist interested in topics in health, public, and labor economics. My research leverages policy shocks and natural experiments to estimate causal impacts related family planning access, pharmaceutical prescriptions, sugar-sweetened beverage taxes, sleep loss, tobacco use, and other risky health behaviors.
Before joining the faculty at Miami, I earned my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, my M.S. at Drexel University, and my B.S. at James Madison University.
