I would like to be a more active member of the team by contributing thoughts throughout the planning, Implementing and reflection cycle.

Measurable

I will have reached my goal If I have actively been providing my Input and feedback during the teams Daily Standup meeting, and other checkpoints throughout the Internship.

Attainable

I can achieve my goal by using the Google Meets raise my hand feature, asking the team to expand on a story If I don't quite understand the task, or commenting In Jira/Confluence on documentation.

Relevant

It's Important for a team to have a diverse perspective. By contributing my thoughts I'll be helping my team understand my point of view. Additionally, It Is Important to have a clear sense of purpose, allowing you to pivot when things don't go as planned.

Time-Based

I would like to achieve this goal on a weekly basis.

I want to learn how to incorporate python libraries within projects to build projects more efficiently.

Measurable

I’ll have reached my goal when I have used a python library within a project.

Attainable

Actively researching python library best practices, what python libraries are the most versatile, and considering in what ways python libraries could make a project simpler. If I can give guidance to a fellow intern, peer or colleague on utilizing python libraries then I will know I have reached my goal as well.

Relevant

Understanding how python libraries work will be useful for my career if I need to take data and create easily digestible visualizations for a project. I would have found this skill useful to have during my data mining class.

I would like to achieve this goal by mid-way through the internship.

The skill that I want to improve is how to take an idea in the planning stage and fully execute it to fruition.

When starting a new project from scratch, I currently get stuck in the development stage due to learning several new tools at once. I find this makes it hard to deliver results and determine the progression of my skills.

Measurable

I will have reached my goal when the team/I have deployed the task successfully. For example, successfully will look like a website actively up and available to user traffic.

Attainable

I can achieve my goal by working on a project(s) that allows me to actively participate in each part of the deployment process. The deployment process consists of planning, development, testing, deployment and monitoring.

Relevant

Throughout the process of deployment, I hope to be a part of each phase and learn the basics of how to execute each successfully. This will allow me to take these skills and apply them to future projects within my program, side projects and within my career as a software developer.

Time-Based

At the end of my Internship I would like to achieve this goal.
