I was born in 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since then I've lived in Idaho, Massachusetts, and currently Colorado. I found my high school's ceramics department oh a whim in 2015. Since then most of my energy has been spent learning to build and teach with this magical medium. I studied at MassArt and graduated with a BFA in ceramics and a Bachelors in art education. I am currently studying to get my Art Practices MFA in ceramics at CU Boulder.
Through my short life I have experienced an array of joy and sadness through my connections to the people and places around me. This is not unique to me, and that collective experience is something I am drawn to again and again. Collective consciousness and the variations between individuals leads me to an interest in the subconscious. How our unconscious minds store and interpret information, and how this shapes the different ways we experience the same events.
My work is an extension of self and the human experience. I explore my own experience and my relationship to self, my family, friends, peers, mentours. I am interested in cohabitation, both in human relationships and in nature, and the ways our environment (internal and external) can shape the way we experience the world.
