Our 2025-2026 Admissions Ambassador Team

Meet Our Admissions Ambassadors Team

This year our team is filled with passionate students and positive representatives of our Collingwood community. The Leadership team is made up of six grade 10 to 12 students. Our Leadership team guides an amazing team of student Admission Ambassadors from grades 9-12 who all provide warm, welcoming and informative tours of both the Morven and Wentworth Campus.

Admissions Ambassador Leadership

Ava W-F.

Ava, a Grade 12 Admissions Ambassador Captain, joined Collingwood in Grade 6 and has been part of the Admissions team since Grade 8. Over the years, she has grown into a responsible leader and has loved working alongside the rest of the Ambassador team. Her favourite part of the role is meeting prospective families and showing them the areas of the school that match their interests, introducing them to the many micro-communities that make Collingwood special. When she is not touring families, she is busy with her other passions as Model UN President, founder of French Club and History Club, director of Film Club, member of Senior Dance Company, and an actor in each school play. Although she is sad that this is her last year with the Ambassadors, Ava is excited to make the most of it and leave the team in great hands.

Fiona F.

Fiona is proud to be a part of this year’s admissions ambassadors captain team as a grade 12 student leader. This year Fiona can’t wait to meet new students and introduce them to all Collingwood has to offer. Fiona has been part of admissions ambassadors since she started Collingwood in grade 8 and has come to learn the program and people well. Fiona has made many meaningful connections with perspective families and has learned a lot from her two years as an ambassador, and her year as a student leader. Outside of admissions ambassadors Fiona is involved in debate, girls rugby, Special Olympics, and is a dance leader this year. Fiona looks forward to having another amazing year with this year’s leadership team.

Deven M.

Deven is a Grade 10 Admissions Ambassador who has been part of the Collingwood community for many years and is proud to call Collingwood home. Throughout his time at Collingwood, he has developed his leadership, communication, and teamwork skills through a variety of experiences both inside and outside the classroom. As Vice President Externals of the Collingwood Business Organization and through his involvement in student leadership, he enjoys creating opportunities for others and building connections within the community. Outside of school, Deven plays competitive basketball and golf, where he has developed his discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. He is also the founder of Birdies & Buckets, a youth-led golf and basketball apparel brand that combines his passions for sports and entrepreneurship while giving back to underserved sports communities. His favourite part of being an Admissions Ambassador is connecting with prospective students and families and sharing his own experiences at Collingwood. Deven is excited for the opportunity to welcome new families, share what makes Collingwood special, and contribute to the Admissions Ambassador team.

Diana A.

Diana is a Grade 11 Admissions Ambassador Captain who is eager to contribute to the Collingwood community. As part of the Admissions Ambassador Leadership team this year, Diana is honoured to represent Collingwood’s four strands: academics, arts, athletics, and service. Beyond the classroom, she is actively involved in Collingwood’s Social Impact Labs, running her own health lab and has been a member of the robotics team and science fair, and has taken part in many rigorous academic courses. Diana looks forward to welcoming new families and hopes to make the Admissions Ambassador program a warm and memorable experience for everyone involved!

Jaysen G.

Jaysen, a Grade 11 Admissions Ambassador Captain, joined Collingwood in Kindergarten and is proud to be a lifelong member of the Collingwood community. Over the years, he has developed his leadership and communication skills through his experiences at Collingwood. As the Founder of the Junior Medical Diagnosis Club and a member of the Science Fair Club and Public Speaking Club, he enjoys exploring his interests in science, medicine, and public speaking. Outside of school, Jaysen plays basketball, rugby, and fencing, where he has developed his teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. His favourite part of being an Admissions Ambassador is connecting with prospective students and families and sharing his experiences at Collingwood. Jaysen is excited for the opportunity to welcome new families, share what makes Collingwood special, and collaborate with the Admissions Ambassador team.

Amelie W.

I’m a Grade 10 student and Admissions Ambassador Captain at Collingwood, and I’ve been here since Grade 8. I first came to Collingwood when my family moved to West Vancouver, and I didn’t know anyone. It was a big change, but I felt welcomed almost right away, made some amazing friendships, and quickly felt like I belonged. One of the things I love most about Collingwood is that I don’t feel like I have to choose between the arts and sports. Both are really important to me, and I think it’s really special that Collingwood encourages us to be well-rounded. You can be an athlete and an artist, be a leader, and explore different interests without feeling like you have to fit into just one box. Acting and writing are two of my biggest passions. Outside of school, I work professionally as an actor and have been lucky enough to have roles in well-known television and film productions. At Collingwood, I’ve been involved in every school play since I started, and because I’m also really interested in filmmaking, I’m hoping to get involved with our Film Club this year too. I’m just as passionate about sports. I play volleyball for both Collingwood and my club team, as well as soccer and track. I also volunteer at a seniors’ home, which has given me another way to be involved outside of school. Being an Admissions Ambassador is especially meaningful to me because I remember what it felt like to walk into Collingwood in Grade 8 not knowing anyone. Now I get to welcome new students and families, answer their questions, and hopefully help them feel that same sense of belonging. Collingwood has given me a place where I can be an artist, an athlete, a leader and a friend, and I’m really proud to represent our school.

Our Grade 12 Admissions Ambassadors are dedicated senior leaders who represent the spirit and values of our school. As the face of the student community, they play an essential role in welcoming prospective students and families through campus tours, presentations, and school events. These ambassadors share their personal experiences, highlight academic and extracurricular opportunities, and help visitors gain an authentic understanding of student life. Beyond guiding tours, they serve as mentors and role models for younger students, fostering a sense of pride, belonging, and leadership across the school community. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment make them an invaluable part of the Admissions Team.
