Ava is proud to be a Grade 10 Student Ambassador Leader this year. She joined the Admissions Ambassadors team in Grade 8 and, over the past two years, has learned so much from the various activities, dialogue with prospective families, and mentorship from teachers and other students. Ava loves meeting new people through the tours and is most excited about introducing them to everything that Morven has to offer. In addition to Admissions Ambassadors, she’s involved in a number of Collingwood clubs and activities, including the Film Club, Model UN, the French Club, and acting in the school’s play.
Caden is a persistent and compassionate individual who strives to become the best of himself. As part of the Admissions Ambassador Leadership team this year, Caden is honored to represent Collingwood school, the community, and Collingwood’s four strands: academics, athletics, arts, and service. Beyond the classroom environment, Caden is Chairman of Model United Nations, Founder of the Spanish Club, Co-leader of Collingwood’s Social Impact labs (Pawsitivity Society), involved in the coordination/editor team for Grade 7 Commencement videos, and engaged in Collingwood’s provincials public speaking team. Caden hopes to make Admission Ambassadors 2024-2025 a truly fulfilling experience for all involved!
As a member of the Admissions Ambassadors Leadership team, Elaine looks forward to building strong connections with all members of the Collingwood community. Her roles as a House Captain, Lead Alto of Collingwood's Jazz Band, team manager for the varsity girls basketball team, and editorial director of the school magazine have equipped her with the opportunities to grow as a team member and take on multiple leadership and service initiatives. She is so excited to work with the Ambassador team and make this year the best one yet!
Fiona is proud to be a part of this year's admissions ambassadors leadership team as a grade 10 student leader. This year, Fiona can't wait to meet new students and introduce them to all Collingwood has to offer. Fiona has been a part of admissions ambassadors since she started Collingwood in grade 8 and has come to learn the program and people well. Fiona has made many meaningful connections with prospective families and has learned a lot from her two years as an ambassador. Outside of Admissions Ambassadors, Fiona has been involved in debate, dance, yearbook club, girls rugby, junior leadership, and model UN. Fiona looks forward to working with this year's admissions leadership team.
Meet Isabel, a dynamic student who has actively engaged in all four strands of Collingwood School. She spends her time in various school and co-curricular activities, showcasing versatility and leadership. Whether on the field, where they shine in sports, or in the classroom, where they excel academically, Isabel brings energy and commitment. Beyond these achievements, Isabel dedicates her time to community service, embodying a strong sense of social responsibility. In leadership roles, she has demonstrated the ability to guide and inspire. Isabel is a well-rounded individual, positively impacting both school and the community.
Xiao Bo looks forward to connecting with prospective, new, and current members of the Collingwood community. Entering her ninth year at the school, she has been involved in the wide range of opportunities offered at Collingwood through its four strands: academics, athletics, arts, and service. Xiao Bo is captain of the debate, math, and economics clubs, editor-in-chief of the school magazine—Ad Verum—and team manager of the varsity girls’ basketball team. She is looking forward to a great year with the Ambassador team!
Riley is the grade 11 Admissions Ambassadors Grade Captain this year. She came to Collingwood in grade 8 and has been a highly involved, well-rounded student across all 4 strands of Collingwood School. She has taken advantage of many opportunities that Collingwood has to offer including acting and theater, field hockey, netball, CBO, various service initiatives, and more. This year, she has also taken on the formal leadership role of Senft House Captain. She is so grateful for the support she has received from many teachers and staff at Collingwood who have helped her with her academic and co-curricular journey so far. She loves being part of the Admissions Ambassadors team because it allows her to connect with the broader Collingwood community and introduce new families to the school. She is excited to continue her work with the Ambassadors team for the 2024/2025 school year!
Maddy is the grade 10 Admissions Ambassador Grade Captain. She is super excited to be a part of the 2024-2025 Admissions Ambassador Leadership Team. Moving schools in Grade 8 felt scary, but the Ambassador Program made it such a welcoming and memorable experience, and from then on she knew it was something she wanted to be a part of. This is her third year as an Ambassador, and the lessons she has learned and the memories she has made as an Ambassador are invaluable. Since arriving at Collingwood, she has involved herself in the Helping Hands Service Initiative, senior soccer team, volleyball team, and Science Club. She is grateful for my opportunity to be an Ambassador, and is super excited to get to work closely with everyone!
Zabel is the grade 9 Admission Ambassador Grade Captain. She came to Collingwood in grade 8, so she knows what it’s like to feel like a new kid. However, she will never regret her decision to come to Collingwood, the memories, lessons and experiences have been something she wouldn’t trade for the world. In her free time, she likes to play basketball; she is on the junior gold field hockey team and you can usually find her with a book in my bag. She is in the psychology club, debate team, and is also a part of the leadership club. She is looking forward to being a part of the athletic committee. She believes that these opportunities will help her future greatly and make her a better athlete and student. She will always be thankful that her parents, friends and teachers have always supported her and play an important role in who she has become. She is looking forward to welcoming new kids to the community and making some new memories with them.
As a lifer at Collingwood, Estella takes pride in being part of the Senior Admissions Panel. Having been at the school since Wentworth, she is excited to share her unique perspective with new families, offering insights into every aspect of the Collingwood experience. Estella's long-standing journey allows her to speak with authenticity about the community, academics, and opportunities that make the school special. Outside of admissions, her commitment to dance reflects her dedication and creative personality, which have been nurtured during her time here with not only Collingwood’s art program but throughout all of her involvement and classes.
As a 4th-year ambassador, Jenna is excited to be part of the Senior Admissions Panel, where she shares her experiences at Collingwood with prospective families during information evenings and supports the admissions office in any way she can. In addition to her work with admissions, Jenna plays on the basketball team and is a proud executive of the Collingwood Business Organization. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to podcasts, with her favourite being The Economics of Everyday Things.
As an Admissions Ambassador, Kiersa sees her role as a bridge between prospective students and the school community. She emphasizes what makes Collingwood School unique, highlighting its rigorous academics, close-knit atmosphere, and diverse extracurriculars. Kiersa shares personal experiences, such as her leadership roles as Service Executive and Social Impact Club Founder, and her involvement in community initiatives like Special Olympics. Her goal is to ensure prospective students and families feel comfortable, encouraging them to ask questions, explore, and understand how the school fosters personal growth and lasting connections.
Zara is a Grade 12 on the Admissions Ambassador Panel this year. She came to Collingwood in grade 7 and has taken part in numerous extracurriculars and opportunities offered. She has played many sports at the school but most notably been a player on the Senior Girls Field Hockey team. She has been an admissions ambassador for the past 3 years as well as a member of the yearbook club and sustainability council. She is grateful for her teachers who have supported her academics at Collingwood. She enjoys being a member of the Admissions Ambassadors team because it allows her to find connections with the Collingwood community and prospective families. Zara is excited to continue to work with the ambassadors in her final year of high school!
