ABOUT: The Career Discovery Externship is a week-long summer program that connects college scholars to learn about career pathways in various sectors by visiting host companies, experiencing a day-in-the-life, and identifying the roles there that align with their interest and values that might be a great fit for their futures.
PURPOSE: This week-long program supports scholars to become internship-ready by practicing networking skills, building up confidence in work environments, and honing in on the types of opportunities they would like to seek out in the future!
SCHOLARS: The opportunity is a great fit for college students who are exploring their career options, have an interest in experiencing a wide range of companies/organizations, or would like to expand their network. Scholar experience panels, workshops, career readiness tips, and activities to practice critical thinking, and problem solving in a work environment.
ELIGIBILITY:
18+ by 6/1/2025 undergraduate College Track scholars
Rising year 1 and year 2 student in college recommended, but open to all College Thrive scholars
If you will graduate college on or before 6/31/25, you are not eligible
SCHEDULE:
Having one internship in college increases a student's odds of being employed by 45%.
