Connects Scholars with Careers!

GET INVOLVED!

The national college completion gap has directly contributed to the greatest income inequality in our country’s history. A bachelor’s degree is one of the most valuable tools we have to democratize access to the 21st-century workforce and meet the needs of a diversifying population. We know we can all do more to make sure today’s students have what they need to realize their potential and contribute their gifts to the world.

As a participant in the Career Discovery Externship, host a one-day summer experience to give scholars a day-in-the-life glimpse of your company. (In-person or virtual may be the right fit for you, depending on location(s) and preference.)

We rely on our partnerships to offer important career exposure and readiness opportunities for our scholars. College Track partners with corporations holistically and for the long-term. Our strongest relationships harness the time, talents, and expertise of employees as well as financial investment of companies to accelerate social mobility for our scholars.

What to expect as a partner

During the Career Discovery Externship event, students will participate in strategically designed day-long visits to our partner host companies, where participants will:

Our staff works closely with you to co-create the content. We have many templates and tools ready-to-use so that your employee volunteers may focus on impact rather than capacity!

Employee Panel

In an employee panel, team members from the organization get speak about their education and career journey. The goal is to demystify opportunity and encourage scholars to see themselves or their interests/values reflected!

Employee-Student Networking

During Employee-Student Networking sessions, students get to spend time with team members and hear their stories, get advice, and practice meeting new people. Utilizing small groups, we will ensure that student and employee groups remain small for authentic conversation.

Case Study Activity / Interactive Workshop

During workshop time, students can get an opportunity to learn more about the company's work. Ex: Learn about day to day life at a particular department, assigned a group project to execute, experience a real-world problem at your company and look for creative solutions.
