TERP Marketplace
The Dingman-Lamone Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland invites educators, parents, and students—especially those passionate about business and innovation—to our Terp Marketplace event on Tuesday, November 11th at 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Ranked No. 5 overall for undergraduate entrepreneurship by The Princeton Review, UMD is the hub for entrepreneurial growth and development.
Terp Marketplace (sneak peek here) is a lively pop-up event where University of Maryland student entrepreneurs showcase their services and sell their products. It’s free to attend, and a great opportunity to see entrepreneurship in action, support student businesses, and connect with the startup community.

The Women in Engineering (WIE) Program hosts opportunities for middle and high school students to be inspired and explore engineering. Our programs are open to all students.
WIE are Makers - Workshop for 7th-12th Graders

Experience Maryland Engineering and light up your creativity with WIE are Makers! This workshop for 7th-12th graders, guided by current Maryland Engineering students, introduces participants to simple and parallel circuits as they create light up works of art with paper circuits. SECURE IT Cybersecurity Workshops
Monthly workshops on Saturdays from 12 - 2 PM at the University of Maryland
Cost: $25 per workshop - $200 for the full series
The SECURE IT Cybersecurity workshop series for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders introduces students to the strategies and techniques to defeat cyberattacks, secure networks, and protect sensitive data. Participants will delve into ethical hacking, encryption, and cybersecurity careers and will be instructed by current UMD students. Registration is required. The College Park Youth Band (CPYB) is now accepting musicians for the 2025-26 school year. CPYB is for students who have been playing for at least 2 years on their instrument. Instruments are not provided; children are expected to have their own instruments to participate in the ensemble.
