Highlighting the perspectives of women is a paramount element in moving towards a more equal society. Women have constantly been placed at the forefront of change, yet they are never celebrated. Too often, the perspectives preserved by history and amplified through educational systems are those from a male Eurocentric (white) perspective. It is important to diversify perspectives. Perspectives create a space for the voices of women, forming additional areas to allow for the reconciliation of gender-based trauma.
