Generation Z, is the youngest, most ethnically-diverse, and largest generation in American history, comprising 27% of the US population. Pew Research recently defined Gen Z as anyone born after 1996. Gen Z grew up with technology, the internet, and social media, which sometimes causes them to be stereotyped as tech-addicted, anti-social, or “social justice warriors.”
The perspectives all individuals have to offer are important and relevant to various conversations, although women have historically been disproportionality but to a disadvantage when compared to men.
This is really important to consider.
Practice being an ally, and support individuals around you when your help and support are called for.
While being a champion for change, reflect on who the issue you are fighting for predominantly affects, and make sure they are at the forefront.
Simply, listen to individuals around you that have systematically been placed under oppression.
