Walu, the Sun Goddess, brings daylight and warmth to the world. Each morning, she lights a small fire in the east that grows into the sun. Walu then travels across the sky during the day, and at night, she returns to the spirit world in the west. Her journey symbolizes the natural cycles of life and balance in nature.

They see the land as their mother and believe that it is filled with the spirits of their ancestors. The land is not only a source of food and resources but also a sacred space that holds the Yolngu's history, stories, and cultural laws.
