When is the Eagle Invitational Tournament?

The Annual Eagle Invitational Wrestling Tournament is typically held the second weekend of December, with action starting on Friday and ending on Saturday.  

In 2025, the tournament begins at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 12th, and continues at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 13th.

Which teams compete in the tournament?

While this changes from year to year, we always have 16 teams and a waiting list to get in. 

The 2025 Tournament includes Atchison County Community, Brush, Colby, Cozad, Derby, Goodland, Hays, Hutchinson, Lexington, Liberal, Oakley, Phillipsburg, Pine Creek, Prairie View, Santa Fe Trail, and Wray.

What does it cost to get in?

Daily Admissions are

    • Adults $11.00

Tournament Passes

• Students (K-12) $15.00

Are passes accepted for this tournament?

We do not accept Punch Passes, All Sports Passes, or GWAC Passes during the Eagle Invitational Tournament.  The only passes that are accepted are the Tournament Passes.

Do you take debit or credit cards?

Unfortunately, we aren't set up for debit or credit cards, and there is no ATM is onsite.  Please plan accordingly.

Are all games live-streamed?

At this point, only the Main Gym matches are live-streamed by Open Spaces Sports. The Eagle Invitational Committee is working to have all matches live-streamed for the 2026 tournament.  You can find the Main Gym Matches here.

How can we find out who won?

Brackets are updated throughout the tournament and can be found here.

How can I get in free?

The only way to get in free is to help man the tournament by volunteering or sponsoring the tournament in our program.  Volunteer spots fill up quickly, so if you would like to help, please contact the high school at (785) 460-5333 to get on the list for next year.

How much does the school district pay for this tournament?

This tournament is run entirely by the sponsorship of our community - whether it is financial or volunteer.  Please buy a program and check out all of the local businesses that give generously so that our students have the opportunity to play and perform.  Please help us continue this tradition by supporting the businesses that support our students.
