Dr. Adam Herring is the artistic director for Colbert Heights Theatre Arts.  Adam teaches English and theatre full-time at CHHS. He has a bachelor's degree in education and a Master of Arts in English, both from the University of North Alabama. He also holds a PhD in Instructional Design and Technology from Liberty University. In addition to directing shows, Adam is involved in various aspects of production, including but not limited to lighting design, sound engineering, and set construction. Additionally, Adam serves as the technical director for First Baptist Church Colbert Heights.  Adam attends numerous professional development opportunities throughout the year, looking for new ways to enhance the theatrical arts for his students. Adam is the recipient of numerous regional theatre awards for technical theatre and directing. He also has various acting credits and is a published playwright.  

Adam has a wife and two beautiful boys at home who continually support him.
