Frequently Asked Questions
What donation do you suggest?
We suggest a minimum of $30 per team member.
Can I form a team with my family and friends?
Yes! Trivia is all about collaboration, right? We expect and encourage you to work together. You can invite family and friends to your house, or form a distributed team, see below.
Should we register a team or individuals?
If you'll be collaborating on the night you only need to register the team and tell us the number of participants. But see the question on distributed teams below.
Can I form a distributed team?
If you want to, you could form a distributed team with people in other places. You will have about fifteen minutes to complete each round. You'll have a separate Zoom breakout room during the round so you can discuss possible answers with your teammates and competitors won't know what you're up to.
If you are forming a distributed team, when you register send us an email address for each household so we can send the Zoom details to them.
How many can be in our team?
A maximum of 10 people please.
Can I substitute somebody else if one of my friends can't make it on the night?
Please consider just adding another team member - it's a fundraiser, right? If you really want to substitute somebody else, please contact us to arrange that.Â
I'd like to participate, but I'm nervous about all this online stuff. What can I do?
You could visit a friend and use their device. Dare we suggest a house with a younger person who could help?
We have a guide to installing and using Zoom . You can test out your connection to Zoom at any time at https://zoom.us/test .
