How to Access SchoolTool

Students can access SchoolTool in the following ways:

By going to https://schooltool7.neric.org/SchoolTool_COHO/Default.aspx and signing in with their cohoes.org Google account
Via ClassLink
Clicking SchoolTool in the Chrome Bookmarks Resources folder

Overview SchoolTool

Once logged into SchoolTool:

A. Click My Home to view your Current Semester Schedule

B. From the MyHome section, click your picture/icon or name to view your student record

C. Click the CAMPUS tab to see the date and Cycle Day in your school

Viewing Your Records

From My Home, click on your name or profile picture.

CONTACTS Tab - Will show student personal information on file with the district such as parent contacts, siblings, address, date of birth, guidance counselor, student ID, etc.If you find any discrepancies with the information in this area, please notify the main office in your child’s building.
SCHEDULE Tab - This area will show your semester 1 and 2 schedule
ATTENDANCE Tab - Will display your attendance for the current school year. Use the School Year drop down to view attendance data from past school years.
GRADES Tab - This area will show your current classes. The default view is set for the current grading period. A grade will not display until the grading period has ended and progress reports/report cards have been finalized.

"School Year" drop down: View grades from a previous school year (Note: 2023-2024 is still being transferred from Synergy)
"View" drop down: Toggle between Marking Period Grades, Progress Report Grades, Marking Period Average, and Assessment Grades
- Marking Period Grades: Once selected, choose a Quarter (6-12) or Trimester (K-5)
- Progress Report Grades: Once selected, choose a Quarter Progress Report (6-12 only)
- Marking Period Average: Set the School Year drop down to the current year, then select Marking Period Average. Choose a Quarter. The Marking Period Average will only be visible for completed Quarters (6-12 only)
- Assessment Grades: Choose a school year to view Assessment Grades from. Any Regents' exams and State Tests scored during the selected school year will display.
Note: The Quarter or Trimester dropdown will appear once selecting Marking Period Grades, Progress Report Grades, or Marking Period Average

Using the SchoolTool Mobile App

STEP 1 Install the SchoolTool mobile app Android, iOS

STEP 2 Enter the URL for the Cohoes School District: schooltool7.neric.org/SchoolTool_COHO/Default.aspx

STEP 3 On the login screen, enter your email address as the user name and your password

HOME SCREEN OVERVIEW

Using the mobile app you can

1. See your student ID, current class, and cycle day
2. View finalized marking period grades for the current schoolyear (for current grades in progress see Schoology)
3. See your schedule
4. View attendance records
5. See contacts on file
6. Set push notifications and your preferred language

NOTE: Mobile versions of apps have less features than the desktop version. For a complete view of records, access SchoolTool from the web on a computer.
