New to Discord? Here’s a beginner’s guide from Wired.
Here are some tips for getting the most out of the Cohere Labs Discord server:
Navigate to "Channels & Roles" in the top left of the server
Select all roles that appeal to your interest - you can always come back to this page to toggle these on and off
Right click on a channel and change your notification settings to “all messages”
Threads are ways to delineate conversations within a channel. Get notified about a conversations progression by right clicking a thread and selecting “join”
See a list of threads within a channel using the button at the top of the screen.
Right click on a thread to join it and receive notification when others add.
Mute channels that aren’t of interest to you - right click on the channel name and select how long you’d like to mute the channel for.
To stop receiving notifications - right click a channel to update your personal notification settings to “nothing”
Find events listings on Discord in the top left of your screen. Here you’ll find event details, links to meetings, and be able to indicate your interest.
We’re all here for the same reasons - to pursue our journeys as ML researchers and connect with like-minded people. Come across someone who’s interested and experiences are particularly aligned with your goals? Introduce yourself and share ideas of how you might collaborate or support one another.
