"Elementary school years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skill necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners. Through a comprehensive developmental school counseling program, counselors work as a team with the school staff, parents and the community to create a caring climate and atmosphere. By providing education, prevention, early identification and intervention, school counselors can help all children can achieve academic success."

My name is Robyn Costa and I am entering my 10th year as a School Counselor for Deer Hill School. Prior to my work for Cohasset Public Schools I worked as a School Counselor for two years within the Salem Public School system. I earned a Master of Art in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley University in 2005 and a Master of Science in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in December, 2019. Prior to working in the public school system, I worked as a therapist for two South Shore homeless shelters, provided Art Therapy on an inpatient psychiatric unit and worked as an outpatient clinician at a substance abuse clinic. I am excited to be back at Deer Hill for another year and look forward to continuing to strengthen my relationships with students, families and the community. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and our pooch Fenway. I am an avid baker, love reading, projects with glitter and spending time in my home state of Vermont.
Hi there! I am Cohasset’s newest adjustment counselor, splitting my time between Deer Hill and the Osgood School and am very excited to be here. This is my third year as a school adjustment counselor and prior to entering school counseling, I worked for The Key Program, Inc. as a residential and family support caseworker throughout the Southeast. I received my Bachelors in social work from the University of New Hampshire and my Masters in social work with a concentration in school counseling from Salem State University. When I am not at school, you can find me obsessing over my French Bulldog, Louie, and doing all sorts of activities- kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling as much as I can!
