There are a lot of resources floating around this week regarding online teaching and learning. You'll note many of the principles that guide good face-to-face instruction are key to effective online instruction, too.
The Council Of Colleges of Arts & Sciences has created a portal for sharing news, information, and support for colleges during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bringing Your Courses Online: a collection of resources compiled by the MLA (Modern Language Association): "Find strategies for teaching remotely, including ideas for specific activities and assignments, information addressing questions of equity and accessibility, and resource guides from institutions and other organizations."
Innovative Educator Virtual Summit: free webinars happening THIS WEEK hosted by HAWKES Learning.
Magna Publications: Taking Your Teaching Online Program Collection (free with code listed on page)
Pearson Publishers has compiled resources for students and faculty, including opening up additional tools and resources for students.
The Wiley Network has a variety of recorded webinars and articles relating to effective online education.
"Amazing Educational Resources" is a Facebook community sharing "the good, bad, and ugly about the many teacher resources on the internet." Group admins have compiled a list of educational resources being offered for free (either all the time, or due to Covid-19). Check the resource list here to see if there's a tool you use that might have additional features, or one you wanted to use that's now being offered for free.
