Independent Learning Guidance

At Cobham Hall, we believe in adequately preparing your child for life after school. We have implemented a tailored independent learning plan for our current KS5 and KS4 students. This plan aims to foster greater independence in their studies and help them prepare for life beyond School.  

Each subject has guidance provided by our academic staff, which is intended to assist students in developing their independent learning skills.  These activities are designed to enrich students' learning outside the classroom.  The guidance is structured like a ladder, allowing students to see the tasks they should be completing during this time and enabling them to progress at their own pace.  Our goal is for them to become fully independent learners by the end of this key stage.  

We highly encourage independent learning across all subjects. While there is no minimum requirement for students, the more effort they put in, the greater the benefits they will experience.
