Screencasting is one of the easiest ways to incorporate video into your instruction and use it for student created content. There are many tools that allow you to create a screencasts, in this section we will look at two very popular options; Screencastify and Ensemble.

Below you will find the "Master the Screencast" course through Screencastify. Screencastify is the tool that our team uses when creating instructional videos, and we feel that it is one of the more useful tools a teacher can use. Please watch the videos (less than 1 hour to watch all sections) and then complete the 23 question quiz at the end to become a Master Screencaster. As part of the quiz you need to submit a quick 30-60 video using Screencastify.

Many districts in the OCM BOCES subscribe to the Ensemble service. Ensemble is a video recording and storage service that allows teachers to keep and share videos from a secure location. There is the ability with the Ensemble service to create screencasts with a Google Chrome extension.
