A little bit about me: My name is Mrs. Bravo, and I am the School Counselor at Washington Elementary. I am starting my 7th year as a school counselor. I attended UC Irvine and received a bachelor's in Public Health Policy and Chicano Latino Studies. I also attended the University of La Verne, where I received my Master's degree in Educational Counseling and the Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential. I am also a mom of three very busy girls!
My goal as an educator is to help students achieve success in school and in life. My priority is to support students and families with anything they need help with. When it feels like things are falling apart or out of control, I can help you learn and practice new strategies to help you get back on track and feel confident about facing the challenges ahead. My areas of focus are academic achievement, career support, and social-emotional development, to ensure that today's students become productive and well-adjusted citizens of tomorrow.
As we kick off the new school year, I would like our students to keep a few things in mind:
Be kind to others and yourself.
Be respectful of your teachers/staff, classmates, and our school.
Be responsible- make good choices that help you grow and succeed.
Everyone has the power to make this year amazing- not just for yourself, but for those around you. Let's commit to making positive choices every day and supporting each other along the way.
Let's make it a great one, Eagles, you've got this!
"Today, I choose to learn, grow, and be kind. I have the power to make today a great day." -anonymous
I am here for YOU!
