What to Practice:
Students should practice at least 10-15 min each day about 4-5 days each week. They should review and practice what was introduced and worked on in their most recent lesson which will include the following:
Band:
Long tones: Hold each learned note out for as long as possible with a good sound. Do at least 3 long tones on each note, trying to improve length and tone each time.
Rhythms: Practice tonguing rhythms (rhythm sheet) on each learned note with accuracy. Remember to use the tip of your tongue to articulate each note.
Songs/Exercises: Play through every learned song/exercise with accuracy

This performance will take place some time during the week of October 20th-25th (See schedule below). Parents of performing students are invited to attend their child's school specific "performance of progress" and celebrate their early growth as musicians!
