All students enrolled in band will be responsible for getting their own instrument. Here is the information you will need in order to find the instrument that is right for you!
Students interested in joining band should research the instruments they are most interested in before investing in their instrument. Below is a link provided by Bertrand's music to do so:
It is advised that students rent instruments rather than purchase them 1) to see if they will stick with the instrument long term and 2) to establish a relationship with a store that provides repair and upgrade services
Please do NOT purchase an instrument with colored lacquer! These instruments come in many fun colors, but are very poor quality. Amazon is NOT a reliable source for quality instruments!!!
We encourage families to attend one of our instrument rental nights on Tuesday, August 19th at Citrus Hills Intermediate School or Wednesday, August 20th at El Cerrito Middle School from 6:00-8:00 pm. You can reserve your materials ahead of time (https://bertrandsmusicrentals.com/t-cnusd-elementary-music.aspx ) and pick them up at the rental night event. If you are unable to attend rental night, you may still contact the music store to get everything you will need.
