Each month, the division will nominate a Member, Officer, Faculty Advisor, Kiwanis Advisor, and Club of the Month. This recognition is given based on how the Division Leadership Team, Club Officers, and Advisors see the way in which a member goes out of their way to help serve their school, division, and Key Club! We encourage you to go above and beyond your roles and duties in order to be recognized.
These recognitions are announced at our DCMs!

Key Club recognizes outstanding achievements with a variety of district-level awards, such as the Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lieutenant Governor Award, which honors Lieutenant Governors who exemplify exceptional leadership and service within their divisions. Other awards include the Distinguished Club Award, given to clubs that demonstrate excellence in service, leadership, and member engagement, and the Sandy Nininger Medal, which is awarded for heroic actions. These awards highlight the dedication and impact of Key Club members, officers, and advisors who go above and beyond to make a difference in their schools and communities.
Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lieutenant Governor Award & Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Award
"At District Convention 2025, I was awarded the Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Award! My 2024-2025 term as LTG was definitely challenging, but I learned and grew so much. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to serve Division 23 in this role, meet so many new people, and make lasting memories, but I couldn’t have done it without the help of my Division Leadership Team, Club Officers, advisors, and members! Thank you, D23 Yetis, for giving me this amazing honor <3<3."
Distinguished Division News Editor Award & Distinguished Division Website.
"Serving as Division 23’s News Editor was a meaningful opportunity that challenged me to convey the passion and impact of our clubs through articulate, compelling, and thoughtful communications. Receiving the Distinguished Division Newsletter and the Distinguished Division Website awards is a humbling affirmation of the value of thoughtful storytelling and collaboration in fostering a vibrant, connected community. These honors remind me that behind every article and visual lies a deeper purpose: to inspire, to unite, and to celebrate the spirit of service that defines Division 23. More than recognition of design and technical skill, these awards reflect the heart of Key Club and the dedication of every member who makes this community exceptional. I am deeply grateful for this acknowledgement and proud to have contributed to a legacy of leadership and service."
Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lieutenant Governor Award & Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Award
"To earn the Robert F. Lucas Award is to pour my heart and soul into my connections, work, and service. It is also to comfront challenges head on, work under pressure, and grow as a leader. But most importantly it is in the my assistance to the clubs, dedication to members, and new traditions that fostered a stronger community and legacy for Division 23. I am grateful to have earned this honor and I continue to carry the values I learned as Lieutenant Governor into my future endeavors."
Distinguished Division News Editor Award
"I never expected graphic design to be something I’d enjoy, let alone that I’d become Division News Editor. But in my junior year, I took the chance and quickly developed an interest for editing and creating graphics. Earning the Distinguished Division Newsletter Award showcased not only my design skills but also my dedication to spreading Key Club’s values through media. This experience helped me grow both in design and in understanding Key Club’s culture."
