Please remember that children cannot be dropped to school or on the playground before 7:40. am. This is a safety issue as there is no adult supervision until that time. Children should line up on kindergarten playground behind the cone marked Mrs. Pearson (the cones are removed after the first two weeks of school)  by 7:45 AM.  After the first bell rings students will enter the building via the upper south doors. If your child arrives last, please escort them into the school building and sign them in for the day.

• If your child is going to be absent, please contact the CME office and report the absence and the reason for the absence. You may also email me with the information. 

• Do not send medication of any kind to school with your child without first getting a doctor's note and having it filed in the Health Aide's Office...this includes cough drops. 

• In Kindergarten, a manilla envelope entitled "the Thursday Folder" will be sent home on Thursdays with graded work and home-school communication. The Thursday Folder should be returned back to school on Friday or the last day of the school week if it is a shortened week, containing any homework for the week. Typically that homework is the math workbook pages for the week. Please staple the pages together and be sure your child puts his or her name on the packet.

• Behavior: I use positive reinforcement of good behavior choices and a clip system as a visual reinforcement for students. Students will often receive SOAR tickets for good choices. If I have a consistent challenge with a behavior I will contact parents to discuss a plan to help that student be more successful.  

• Email: The best way to contact me is via my email:  apearson@cmsd12.org Please allow 24 hours for a response. If there is something urgent during the day please contact the office and they will let me know. 

• When weather is inclement the eagle flag will be flying instead of the Colorado flag. This indicates student enter the school directly using the front gym door rather than lining up at their usual designated place. 

• Please label all your child's belongings with his or her name.

• Please send a no-spill water bottle filled only with water to school each day along with two healthy snacks packed separate from a lunchbox.

• School lunches are available each day. The menu is found on the CME homepage. During the 2024-2025 school year there is no charge for school lunches.
